Que es una curaduría?
Una curaduría consiste básicamente en la investigación, selección, agrupamiento y exhibición de la piezas de una colección. Normalmente se dice que se realiza curaduría de las colecciones de arte; sin embargo, el término se ha popularizado y puede aplicarse a una colección de piezas decorativas, archivos, documentos históricos y artísticos de cualquier tipo, entre muchos otros. Algunos ejemplos de las diversas curadurías que pueden existir serían: una curaduría de una colección de diseño, numismática, de documentos literarios y de arte urbano. Un curador cuyo rol consiste en investigar, recomendar la adquisición del material de la colección, contribuir a su preservación, exhibición, conocimiento y discusión. La forma de practicar y definir la curaduría está en constante transformación, ya que el rol del curador(a) se transforma de acuerdo a las necesidades cambiantes de las colecciones, las instituciones y los públicos.
